Some wounds don't live in the mind alone.

They live in the body, in the blood, in the stories your grandparents carried and never got to put down. They live in the parts of you that learned to stay small, stay quiet, stay useful — because that's what kept you safe.

I'm Melina Santos, and I help people heal at every level — not just the surface.

As both a clinical mental health counseling intern and a trained shamanic practitioner, I offer something rare: a space where evidence-based therapy and spiritual wisdom exist side by side. You don't have to choose between your healing and your spirituality. Here, they belong together.

My clinical work draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed approaches, and culturally responsive care. My shamanic practice is rooted in ancestral healing, intuition development, and helping clients reconnect with their inner knowing — the quiet voice that's been there all along, waiting for you to listen.

I work especially with:

  • Women of color navigating cultural identity and intergenerational patterns

  • Highly sensitive people and empaths who absorb the world too deeply

  • Chronic people-pleasers who are finally ready to choose themselves

  • Individuals who feel called to explore healing through a spiritual lens

  • Hispanic and Latinx clients (services available in Spanish)

  • Teens 12+ and young adults finding their authentic voice

You don't have to have it all figured out before you come to me. You just have to be willing to begin.

Working with Melina is not about being fixed

It is about slowing down enough to understand what your anxiety, sensitivity, exhaustion, sadness, anger, or disconnection has been trying to tell you.

Sessions may include emotional regulation skills, self-awareness practices, nervous system grounding, identity exploration, boundary work, family pattern exploration, values clarification, and practical tools for daily life.

For clients who are open to it, Melina may also integrate spiritual reflection, intuitive exploration, and shamanic-informed healing practices as part of the therapeutic process.

Enso Behavioral Healthcare

Health is a required subject in all schools. We learned what to do about common injuries like cuts, bruises, and burns. Isn't it odd that no one ever taught us about mental hygiene? There are no first aid lessons to show us how to take care of emotional injuries. Surely punctured pride is more common than a nail in the hand. And bruised feelings must outnumber black eyes a million to one! Thankfully it's never too late to learn! Enso Behavioral Healthcare is your emotional urgent care center to restore your balance and re-align your purpose.
