First Generation Dynamics Support Group

Being a first generation American comes with it's unique challenges. If your family is from Jamaica, Haiti, Nigeria, Caribbean nations, Columbian, Venesualan, etc it is all unique in the blends that make up who we are. Now lets add in a dash of pressures from majority States society and we could pull out all of our hair. We have pressures that go unnoticed and unshared. It's time to end that! Let's talk about what it feels like to be the golden child, the one that is expected to uphold all of the families name, virtue, and pride... all while wanting to live my life and be who I am.
