About the event
What do My Two Dad's, Friends, Modern Family, Grays Anatomy, The L Word, and The New Normal all have in common? They are some of tv's depictions of families with two same sex parents. Tv often shows us the struggles of the parents trying to adopt or determine their fertility choices, but what it sometimes misses is the experiences of the children. How do "modern" children talk with their friends about their family, about their parents, and confront ignorance that can be ever present in a classroom? Our solution is to give them a safe place to process their feelings and learn ways to cope with societies microaggressions.
